DIASPORA STUDIES

This research portfolio is a living record of my academic inquiry into diasporic literature and the overlapping theoretical frameworks of memory, identity, and narrative. Its purpose is to document the ongoing development of my research interests, and to provide a structured space to organise and expand my ideas. It functions as a record to gather my readings and trace thematic patterns, as I survey the terrain of existing literature and the cultural conversations I am entering.

While my current focus centres on Caribbean, Australian, and Japanese diasporas, these are starting points rather than fixed boundaries. I have chosen these areas because they speak to my personal and academic curiosity, and because they offer fertile ground for thinking across cultures and histories.

This portfolio will continue to grow and shift as my research progresses. Its aim is to support my long-term academic work by clarifying the links between texts, ideas, and questions that guide my broader investigations.
